Getting to Know the Neighborhood

I'm slowly becoming more familiar and comfortable with the neighborhood and major roads in our area. We live off Briarcliff, which doesn't seem like a big road until you realize that it goes from the northeast corner of inside the perimeter and not take a turn off until you pass the south perimeter. It's long. Which is good, because just about anything I need I can find on this one road. I'm also pretty good at HWY 85 and the belt route (aka the perimeter) 285.

I don't use the gps to get to church, the DMV, or the Rick Case car dealership (I know - crazy fun, right?). I'm also pretty sure I could get to work and back without a gps, as long as I go on one of the more simple routes. So, progress!

I really love this area of Atlanta because of all the houses. There's all sorts here, ranging from tiny old brick houses to new huge houses, with everything in between and lots of variety. This picture is of some houses on our street, just to illustrate the point.
